On the heels of my bulk purchase of cars, I decided to try out Everydaygoodz ' bulk pack of people. Not wanting to do things in small measures, I bought 500 people, which should do nicely on a small layout. I received a tiny package in the mail from Hong Kong. Before I opened it, I worried that maybe I only got 100 by accident. Once I opened the package, I was still worried -- there was only a small plastic food container (perfect for storing the remains of a pack of Japanese pickles). ![]() Pickles? I cracked open the container, packed in more intensely than Shinjuku station in rush hour, there were 500 people. ![]() No women only cars here. The modelling on the figures is about on par with the bulk cars. It's of relatively high standard -- arms, heads, legs clearly discernable, with a variety of poses. The painting is more than likely done by machine, and the colours are brighter than normally found in Japan during a weekday, with red shirts, etc. There's also a fair amount of variety in hair colour, which isn't necessarily optimal for Japan. All in all, they're exceptional value for money and can be used to pad out crowd scenes admirably. I may repaint some of them to tone down the colours and add more black to the hair, but that's not really an issue since I also ordered a giant bulk pack of unpainted Preiser people which hasn't arrived yet. ![]() Nothing says N-scale like disaster triage. I've been so impressed with these things that I'll probably order 100 pre-wired streetlights in the fairly near future.
